REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ADVERTISED POSITIONS IN THE ACADEMIC CADRE

POSITIONGRADEQUALIFICATION
Lecturer ICONPCASS 06A. Doctorate degree in the relevant discipline, with at least three (3) years of teaching, research or relevant industrial experience, together with three (3) conference/seminar papers, three (3) journal articles, and at least one (1) chapter contribution in a standard textbook comprising not less than ten (10) chapters, published within the last four (4) years.

B. Master’s degree in the relevant discipline, with at least six (6) years of teaching, research or relevant industrial experience, together with three (3) conference/seminar papers, three (3) journal articles, and at least one (1) chapter contribution in a standard textbook comprising not less than ten (10) chapters, published within the last four (4) years.

C. A serving Lecturer II with at least three (3) years of satisfactory service as Lecturer II, together with three (3) conference/seminar papers, three (3) journal articles, and at least one (1) chapter contribution in a standard textbook comprising not less than ten (10) chapters, published within the last four (4) years.
Lecturer IICONPCASS 04A. Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline, together with three (3) conference or seminar papers and three (3) published journal articles.

B. Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, together with at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, three (3) conference or seminar papers, and three (3) published journal articles.

C. A serving Lecturer III who possesses a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline and has completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service as Lecturer III, presented two (2) conference or seminar papers, and published two (2) journal articles.
Lecturer IIICONPCASS 03A. Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, together with at least two (2) conference or seminar papers.

B. A good Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division, in a relevant discipline, together with at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience and two (2) conference or seminar papers.

C. A serving Assistant Lecturer who has completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service as Assistant Lecturer and presented two (2) conference or seminar papers.
Instructor ICONPCASS 03A. A Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution, with a minimum of Lower Credit, at least three (3) years of post-qualification cognate experience, and evidence of the production or fabrication of at least one (1) functional project in the relevant discipline.

B. A serving Instructor II with at least three (3) years of satisfactory cognate experience on that cadre and evidence of the production or fabrication of at least one (1) functional project in the relevant discipline.
Instructor IICONPCASS 02A Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution, with a minimum of Lower Credit and a NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Librarian ICONPCASS 03A. Master’s degree in Library Science, together with one (1) conference or seminar paper.

B. A good Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division, in Library Science (B.LS), together with at least three (3) years of post-qualification cognate experience and one (1) conference or seminar paper.

C. Internal progression route: A serving Librarian II who has completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory service on that grade and presented one (1) conference or seminar paper.
Librarian IICONPCASS 02A good Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division, in Library Science (B.LS), together with a NYSC Discharge Certificate.

Administrative Officer IICONTEDISS 08Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Social Sciences, or Humanities, with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division and a NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Confidential Secretary IIICONTEDISS 06Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) in Office Technology and Management or Secretarial Studies, with a minimum of Lower Credit.
Medical Officer ICONMESS 02Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree, with registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and a NYSC Discharge Certificate.
RadiographerCONHESS 09Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division, in Radiography, with full professional registration and a NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Medical Records OfficerCONTEDISS 08Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Health Information Management, Health Records, or a related field, together with professional body registration. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
Nursing AssistantCONTEDISS 04Candidates must possess five (5) O’Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings, and must also possess an Auxiliary Nurse Certificate issued by a registered health facility or a Health Assistant Certificate from a College of Health Technology.
Nursing Officer IICONHESS 08Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division, together with registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Pharmacist ICONHESS 09Candidates must possess A. A good Bachelor's Degree (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) in Pharmacy/ Pharmacology with three years' relevant experience. OR B. Master's Degree with one year of post-qualification cognate experience with full professional registration OR C. A suitable Pharmacist I with at least three years’ satisfactory service on that grade.
Technical OfficerCONTEDISS 07Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of Lower Credit and at least three (3) years of post-qualification cognate experience.
Assistant Technical OfficerCONTEDISS 06Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) or its equivalent in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of Lower Credit.
CraftsmanCONTEDISS 04Candidates must possess one of the following: (i) a National Technical Certificate (NTC) or its equivalent, with at least two (2) years of relevant experience; or (ii) a Grade III Government Trade Test Certificate, with at least two (2) years of satisfactory service on that grade.
PorterCONTEDISS 04Candidates must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent, with passes in at least three (3) subjects, including English Language.
Clerical OfficerCONTEDISS 04Candidates must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate with four (4) credit-level passes, including English Language, obtained at one sitting, or five (5) credit-level passes obtained at two sittings.
Motor Driver/Mechanic IICONTEDISS 04Candidates must possess a Junior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent, a valid Class C Driver’s License, and at least three (3) years of satisfactory post-qualification driving experience.
Accountant ICONTEDISS 09Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division, in Accountancy, together with a NYSC Discharge Certificate and at least two (2) years of post-qualification cognate experience.
Data Processing AssistantCONTEDISS 03Candidates must possess five (5) O’Level credit passes, including Mathematics and English Language, and demonstrate good knowledge of computer applications.
Programme Analyst IICONTEDISS 08Candidates must possess a good Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, together with a NYSC Discharge Certificate.

Note on Referee Reports

Candidates must nominate three (3) referees who should forward confidential reports directly to the Registrar, Yaba College of Technology. Referee reports must be duly signed and submitted through the official email address, registrar@yabatech.edu.ng, or delivered in a sealed envelope to the Office of the Registrar. All referee reports must be received on or before the application closing date.
