The Toastmasters international a non-profit educational organization that helps individuals build public speaking and leadership skills, through a worldwide network of meeting location was in Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) recently to canvass for membership among the institution staff.
During a demo meeting in Yabatech, General Evaluator of Toastmaster International, Dr. Abayomi Aiyesimaju disclosed that the organization chose Yabatech being the first tertiary institution in Nigeria and a citadel for academic excellence.
Aiyesimaju noted that the club known for molding leaders has helped people of all background to become more confident in front of audience, likewise it has also aides the personal development of people especially in the areas of improved leadership and communication skill.
He hinted that the club provides a supportive and positive learning experience which empowers members for personal growth and self confidence. Likewise, it values are integrity, respect, service and excellence. The club is also aspiring to become the first choice provider of dynamic, high value, experiential communication and leadership skill development.
Yabatech staff known for high standard and quality will definitely key into the vision and mission of Toastmasters International in no distant future, if the requirements is not cumbersome.
