Yabatech Appoints Olalekan Alaba As Director of Epe Campus

The management of Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) has appointed a director for Epe Campus of the institution. He is OLALEKAN, SHAKIRUDEEN ALABA, a Chief Lecturer with the Department of Vocational Education, School of Technical Education.

The appointment which takes effect from January 2020 will see him supervise and coordinate academic and administrative activities on the campus.

Mr Olalekan whose career in the College span more than two score decades joined the employment of the system on the 1st of April 1997 as lecturer III in the then Technical Teacher Training Programme (TTTP), now School of Technical Education. He rose to the position of a chief lecturer on the 1st of January 2014.

Prior to his current appointment, he has served as Dean School of Technical Education (STE), Head of Department (HOD), Vocational Education, Acting Dean, Students' Affairs, Sub-Dean, Students' Affairs, Programme Coordinator, Business Education, Part-time Coordinator (TTTP), among others. He has also served in various academics and administrative committees of the college either as Chairman or member.

Mr. OLALEKAN holds a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE BUSINESS EDUCATION) from Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos. B.Sc.(Business Education) and M.Ed (Business Education ) from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State.

He was a member of the 5th Governing Council of Federal College of Education Akoka between 2014 and 2016, member of the National Executive Council of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), A District leader and a Past President of Rotary Club Ota (District 9110)

Olalekan is a member of the following professional associations.

*National Career Development (USA)

*Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), and

* Nigerian Association of Teachers of Technology (NATT).
