YABATECH HND STUDENTS WIN ACCOUNTANCY QUIZ COMPETITION

In an impressive display of knowledge and teamwork, four Higher National Diploma (HND) 2 Accounting students from Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) emerged victorious at the Accountancy Quiz Competition held at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). The winning team comprised Adegoke Olumide Oluwafemi, Ogunsan Oreoluwa Praise, Adekunle Oreoluwa Adams, and Adejumo Abubakar Umar.

The competition, which was part of the Accounting and Entrepreneurship Summit for Students (ACCESS) 5.0, witnessed participation from several institutions across Nigeria. The YABATECH team outshone other competitors with their sharp intellect, strategic thinking, and seamless collaboration.

The winning prize of 150,000 naira was presented to the team, symbolizing both their academic prowess and dedication. The cheque presentation was captured in jubilant moments with the team proudly displaying the award, underscoring the significance of this achievement for YABATECH.

Speaking after the event, team leader Adegoke Olumide Oluwafemi stated, “This victory isn’t just for us as individuals, but for YABATECH as a whole. It represents the hard work and the commitment of our lecturers and the entire Accounting department.”

The ACCESS 5.0 summit serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their understanding of key concepts in accountancy and entrepreneurship, while also providing a space for networking and professional development.
