YABATECH CELEBRATES ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK

The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) joined the rest of the world to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week, with the theme: " INSPIRING THE ENTREPRENEURIAL COMMUNITY”

The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is an annual programme to raise awareness for entrepreneurs across the world.

The week started with a road show across the college to sensitize students on entrepreneurship. This was followed with a lecture & panel session on the theme “Inspiring the Entrepreneurial Community”

Selected top entrepreneurs shared their business stories and urged students to take advantage of social media and tech to push their business to the global community.

Speaking with Yabatech Radio, Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Mr. Bolaji Cole disclosed that the centre isn’t only training students to be entrepreneurs but to also have good entrepreneurial skills as employees.

“We want to promote good business environment that’s why this year’s global entrepreneurship week is taking a new dimension, we are giving opportunities to local business owners to exhibit their products at a subsidized rate”

The week-long activities will also feature an exhibition of products and services made by the Yabatech students.
