Capa Honours Late Dr. Olubunmi Owoso

The Commonwealth Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa)CAPA), Nairobi, Kenya today, Tuesday, July 2 held a virtual zoom meeting in honour of late Dr Felix Olubunmi Owoso who died on June 28, 2020 after a brief illness.

The meeting which was presided by Mrs Jahou S. Faal , Secretary-General of CAPA was attended by some family members, friends and TVET stakeholders from Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Rwanda, Ghana, Ehiopia and Nigeria. The stakeholders paid glowing tributes to Dr Owoso for his role in the development of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Africa.

The zoom meeting was projected live at Yusuf Grillo Auditorium by CITM which made it possible for some members of the academic Board and staff of the College to be part of the meeting as observers.

Dr Owoso was the immediate past Secretary-General of CAPA. He supervised the secretariat for 6 years from 2012 - 2018.
