The College Library is currently under the leadership of Dr. Ademola Fijabi as the Acting Polytechnic Librarian. Dr. Fijabi holds a B.L.S. (Hons.) Degree in Library Science from the University of Maiduguri in 1986, a Master’s degree from the University of Ibadan in 2000 and a PhD degree in Library Science from Delta State University in 2019.

He is a seasoned and also a Registered Certified Librarian of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA) Librarians’ Registration Council. A former Assistant Editor of Lagos Journal of Library and Information Science, a member of the Institute of Corporate Administration and a Fellow of the Institute of Policy and Management Development. He is also an awardee of the prestigious Nigerian Humanitarian Icon Award (NIHIA), the African International Achievers Award (Ghana) and the Life Ambassador of Peace in Africa Award (Ghana), all bestowed on him in 2018.

The Acting Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Ademola Fijabi is a distinguished author and an academic of repute with several articles published in reputable national and international journals. His immeasurable contributions to national development of Libraries in Nigeria cannot be over-emphasized. He has served on several important committees in Yaba College of Technology both as Chairman and member.

His academic prowess and professional dexterity has adequately been recognized by front-line institutions within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
