Admission Requirements: A) Admission Requirements: i. WAEC / NECO Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE), General Certificate of Education ordinary Level (GCE ‘O’level) Craft Certificate with WAEC technical and its equivalent with credit in any five (5) subjects, obtained at one sitting. ii. Passes at the Advanced Level in the GCE or its equivalent in at least two Arts subjects, one of which is to be combined with education. iii Good passes in NCE examination: OND in Fine and Applied Arts with a minimum overall average of B in addition to meeting with general entry requirements. iv. At least a merit in the University of Nigeria Diploma or its equivalent in a relevant subject. v. A credit in ‘O’ level English language is required. B) Programme/Sub-Discipline/Discipline Structure to include period of formal studies in the Universities Industrial training / Teaching Practice / planned visit and project.



The programme is run for a period of three (3) academic sessions, (comprising two (2) semesters each). Each semester is made up of thirteen (13) weeks of lectures, practical and tests, one week of revision and 2½ weeks of examinations. The students go on Teaching Practice for a period of eight weeks after the first year and also after the second year. Students embark on choice of area of specialization in their second year with special counseling with the course advisers and coordinator.
